Public Exposure Crime

Oh no, this man is exposing his genitals in what 'could' be deemed as a public place if a neighbour spots him.

Is this a crime punishable by the strong arm of the law?

"In most states, state law prohibits exposure of the genitals and/or the female nipples in a public place, while in other states simple nudity is legal, but evidence of intent to shock, arouse or offend other persons ... is evidence of prohibited conduct"

I guess he would just have to say he was fresh out the shower in his own private abode, and it was not intentional, not sure how he will explain the ski mask though. Probably best to look less suspicious when standing naked at your window.

Imagine if the neighbours saw and sent a firm letter?

How US law treats indecent exposure depends on the case;

It can be difficult to prove it is a deliberately lewd act rather than just nudity within your own home, and if it's your first 'proven' offence your charge will be a misdemeanour.

Where are you exposing yourself?

What is and what is not classed as indecency depends on the country you live in. Read more about Indecent Exposure >>
